HIGH PRECISION 3D LASER SCANNING
We’re one of the first New Zealand users of the high-tech Trimble TX8 laser scanner.
A revolution in 3D scanning, it enables us to produce extremely accurate 3D models of existing buildings or structures. It removes the need to interpret 2D plans, and means we can capture all the data we need in just one visit, saving time and money.
The Trimble TX8 captures point cloud data with millimetre accuracy in high definition. This provides highly valuable datasets, which can be exported in universal formats suitable for modelling, in programmes such as REVIT.
And everyone involved can see the data with a simple viewer. This means the project owners, designers, engineers and surveyors can all discuss the detail.
Designed for a broad array of
projects and environments
Architectural solutions
From heritage buildings to large scale new developments, our 3D laser scanning ensures the finest details of any new or existing project are understood.
And, for designs where there’s uncertainty about how the interface will work with an existing building or structure, with 3D scanning we can cut a cross section and provide a true picture in real time.
We can also provide extremely accurate design and 3D modelling for projects like seismic strengthening of buildings and upgrades of water treatment plants.
Aerial solutions
Large areas covered by traditional survey previously took days or weeks. Using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) we’ll do this in hours.
Our UAVs mean we can produce a ground model and identify features at point density with incredible accuracy - and there’s no need for interpretation by the field surveyor.
Health and safety challenges are also reduced as the UAV captures the data without setting foot on the site.
