future with us
Our summer internships and graduate
positions are the best place to start.
Why Harrison Grierson
An internship or graduate role at Harrison Grierson gives you a chance to experience some of New Zealand’s most exciting projects up close and personal.
But don’t take our word for it, check out what some of our interns and grads have to say about being part of our team in the videos below.
And if you’d like to join them, applications for our 2019/2020 Summer Internships open on 29 July 2019.
Our graduate roles come up throughout the year so check out our opportunities page for more information.
Day One at HG
What we offer
By entering into our mentoring programme, we make sure you've got someone awesome to give you advice and encouragement, and support you every step of the way.
You can path your own way with your personal development plan and graduate programme. Plus, our Young Professionals Group offer further development and networking opportunities to help you get a foot in the door (and help you to connect with like-minded people).
We don't believe interns or grads benefit from experience in coffee making and general admin. That's why from day one you will be working with our leaders, not for them.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly and social bunch. So much so, there's always something going on, from boat parties, to movie nights, run-club and sports team events.
Free fruit, good coffee, and flexible working options to help with the way you do life. And as an extra incentive to come on board with us after your internship, you'll get a paid day to celebrate something important to you and extra leave available to purchase if you want more time out.
What our grads say
For me, the whole crux of being an engineer is to see things get built. Being involved throughout the whole process, right from the design stage, all the way to the construction phase, that’s where I find that I’m most satisfied.
Graduate Civil Engineer
My favourite things about working at HG are the culture, the people and the types of projects we get. Everyone is really experienced, but at the same time know how to have fun.
There are internal and external training courses that HG send you on to advance your technical skills. Especially with surveying there are a lot of things we need to know, so it’s really great to have that support.
